Returning to the post

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the past few years. I've not visited this site - my site - for quite some time. To say a lot has happened in my life and in the world is quite an understatement. To even attempt to catch up would be a true exercise in futility, but a short summation is required for posterity if for nothing else.

Humanity slowly is approaching a reawakening, no, a new awakening, after two baffling, exhausting, and eye-opening years of a pandemic that left no one untouched by its effects. Our world never will be the same. The wide range of changes brought about by the pandemic will, most likely, be categorized as either good or bad. You see, we humans have

this incredible need to pigeon hole everything. It's our way of keeping order, but the problem with our inability to resist that urge to label each and every idea and action is usually very disruptive. Each individual's tidy arrangement of life is unique. We may outwardly celebrate diversity and change, but inside we go nuts when we discover that some thing or some one is out of order. Occasionally, the deviance is too much to handle, and we give up our right to remain silent.

It's been a long two years; my hope is that we take it easy on each other as we navigate and explore these recent changes and developments in our communities and globally, understanding that this evolution of events has changed and developed each of us individually, as well.

The primary mission of this blog site and its corresponding social media presence, is to encourage a pensive approach to the differences among us - our different cultures, our different notions, our different expectations. We need not respect nor accept the thoughts, opinions, or convictions of others; however, we MUST, at a bare minimum and with thoughtful and deliberate consideration, acknowledge perspectives other than our own in order to genuinely remain resolute in our own beliefs. Additionally, we must NOT fear the evolution of our own ideology and reasoning that may take residence in our open minds upon acknowledgement of these varying points of view.

It is with a wholehearted desire to create a space for open discussion, that I welcome any and all comments on the topics highlighted here. With the exception of hate speech, threats, and personal attacks, I encourage your contributions to the discussions and look forward to healthy debates on issues relevant to our world today.
