Like many, my life today is not at all similar to the life I planned for and dreamed about in my youth, but it's a good life.  I'm a mother of four amazing children who raised me almost as much as I raised them!  They are my moral compass and the first people I truly ever loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly.  My three grandchildren are my life's joy beyond measure, and the adoring man who shares his life with me is the light of my soul and the love of my heart. 

 

I consider myself a word artist, and I believe the written word is one of the most lasting and effective forms of human expression.  Some artists share their thoughts and feelings in paintings and sculptures; others bear their souls through music and movement.  Word artists, however, shape thoughts into artful prose that, when read, move an audience to release emotion, champion a cause, change a perspective, or even plant a seed of hope.  

 

Oftentimes, as I write, my thoughts lead me in directions I never knew existed or thought I ever would go.  Whether I'm offering an opinion, encouraging a call to action, or relaying a message, writing allows me to explore my motivations, my thoughts, my feelings, and my desires.
